Every year for almost 14 years, David Copperfield's House of Beer on the Upper East Side, Germantown, (formerly) has gone bonkers German for the Oktoberfest. Maybe its because the owners are half German, or maybe its because they love the malty taste of marzen lagers paired with bratwurst and fun music. Whatever the reason, the place gets decorated, all the Bavarian Beers from Munich make their way to the taps and its just a grand old time. Come out and join me and some of the meetup gang for Liters of Oktoberfest lager and a whole lot of fun. Expect to see beer from Hofbrau Haus, Hacker Pschoor, Spaten, Lowenbrau, Augustiner and some American versions of Oktoberfest style beer too. Foodwise we are promised beef rouladen, shchnitzel, sauer braten, bratwurst and pretzels. Hope to see you all there!
